CAMERATA CHICAGO PERFORMS
VIVALDI’S FOUR SEASONS AT ST. MICHAEL CHURCH
WHEATON, ILLINOIS – March 18, 2008
Come join Camerata Chicago and the chamber orchestra’s Concert Master Dorothy
Hall for a delightful concert featuring the Four
Seasons by Vivaldi with the
original poetry narrated by famed WFMT radio host Peter Van De Graaf. The
state of the art organ at Saint Michael Church will resound in this great space
when Edward Zimmerman from Wheaton College performs a Handel Organ Concerto .all
under the direction of British Maestro Drostan Hall.
The concert will take place Sunday, April
13th, 2008, at 7:30 pm at St Michael Church located at 310 S. Wheaton Avenue, Wheaton IL 60187 as part of its concert series:
“Great Music in a Great Space!”
A
recent organ concert performed by distinguished, organ virtuoso, Maestro Hector
Olivera, invoked an audience participant to comment: “The poignancy of Hector
Olivera’s organ artistry was fittingly blessed by the outstanding acoustics and
interior beauty of St. Michael Church. One easily imagines himself sitting and
listening to a star performance in a grand, European cathedral…”
