Michael Parish School
The Development Office is ready to work with donors to
fashion the most beneficial method of giving for the
donor, the donor's family and for St. Michael Parish
School. Gifts are income tax deductible to the full
extent allowable by law. The vehicles outlined below
represent the main donor opportunities to support St.
Michael Parish School. We invite you to consider the

With the goal of providing excellent spiritual,
educational, and cultural experiences to St. Michael
School students, the Annual Appeal funds specific
programs each year and makes it possible to undertake
strategic investments in our school staff, facilities,
equipment, and technology. Specific investment targets

In addition to funding St.
Michael Parish School’s annual investment goals, money
raised by the SMS Parent Organization’s auction are used
to enhance the overall educational experience for
students and staff. Initiatives include teachers’
Christmas bonuses, cultural events programs, classroom
aids, and additional enhancements to the school
facility, to name a few. Gifts may be made in the form
of cash donations, and/or items to be auctioned. Of
course, attending the auction and bidding on items are
donations over the value of the goods/services

Offertory (Stewardship)
Giving to St. Michael Parish
Weekly stewardship offerings are used to meet the
ongoing expenses of running St. Michael Parish. In
addition to the cost of operating and maintaining the
Parish complex, these funds support over 65 parish
ministries, including St. Michael Parish School.
St.
Michael School is a Parish school – an important
component of the Parish – and not simply a school that
happens to sit next to a church. Offertory collections
provide 25% of the funding of the school, in addition to
the important role our priests and other ministers play
in the spiritual development of each St. Michael
student.
Through Planned Giving, donors can incorporate
meaningful gifts to St. Michael Parish School in a
thoughtful, organized way intended to coordinate the
donor's philanthropic objectives with his or her overall
estate and financial plan. For more information about

Matching Gifts
Many
companies will match donations made to educational
institutions, increasing the value of the gift.
Information about matching gifts is available through
each company’s Human Resources Department. Contact your
company representative for eligibility requirements.
