Baptism

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

Baptism, the gateway to the sacraments and necessary for salvation by actual reception or at least by desire, is validly conferred only by a washing of true water with the proper form of words. Through baptism men and women are freed from sin, are reborn as children of God, and, configured to Christ by an indelible character, are incorporated into the Church. (Can. 849)

Preparation

A preparation program for parents is required before having your child baptized. When choosing godparents, please keep in mind the Code of Canon law requires that at least one godparent must be a practicing Catholic who has received the sacraments of Baptism, the Eucharist, Confirmation and is at least 16 years of age; and if married, have a valid Catholic Marriage. You may choose both a godmother and godfather or just one godparent.

Schedule

Baptisms are usually held on Sundays after the last Mass.
