State of the Parish Report

Fr. Sunny has completed our 2024-2025 State of the Parish report.  This report is a comprehensive review of all the events that we hosted in our Church and within our Ministries last year.  This report also highlights our Parish financials, our Building and Grounds reports, as well as our Faith Formation Program and our School.  Please take the time to read about your Parish!  Take a book with you after the Masses this weekend.

Capital Campaign Committee Commences for the Willow Street Project

After securing the diocesan approval for the Willow Street Project,  Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Fr. Sunny, together with select parish leadership and staff, started developing a Capital Campaign Committee to proceed with the next step of the realization of the goal for the campus.

An official launch of the capital campaign is being planned.  Please watch for more information in the new year.  Thank you.

Evangelical Catholic Set to Engage the Parish in Intentional Evangelization Work

Evangelical Catholic (https://evangelicalcatholic.org) is one of the evangelization movements that have been endorsed by Bishop Hicks at the launch of his pastoral letter “Make”.  The simple raison d’etre of the organization is summarized in their website: “We equip Catholics to live the Great Commission,” the same jumping off point of Bishop’s letter:

"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20)

Safety and Security Initiatives are Underway at St. Michael Parish

Security and safety protocols are being prioritized in our parish.  Since two months ago, Fr. Sunny has been working with Maribeth Spittler on prioritizing safety protocols.  They were able to convene a small core team to work on jumpstarting the initiative: Maribeth Spittler, Mary Ellen Kripp and Deacon Dan Simmet.

Together with the parish staff, and after presenting to the Parish Council, the checklist for safety protocols has commenced implementation.  This is an ongoing task in our parish, as this initiative will eventually give birth to a safety and security ministry.  We are leveraging all communication channels to disseminate information and updates on these topics.
